Vietnam’s No.1 badminton player Nguyễn Thùy Linh recently successfully defended her Master's thesis at Bac Ninh University of Sports with the topic: "Research on selecting endurance speed development exercises for male badminton athletes aged 14-15 in the national youth team at Bac Ninh University of Sports (UPES1)".
Thùy Linh was guided by Associate Professor Dr. Nguyễn Văn Phúc, a highly experienced lecturer who has taught athletics at UPES1 for many years. On her official Facebook page, the "Vietnamese Badminton Beauty Queen" briefly shared: "Achieved my goal and a heartfelt gift for my beloved grandmother and father."
Before pursuing her Master's degree, Thùy Linh was a student majoring in Badminton - Faculty of Intensive Sports Coaching at UPES1.

After the era of the legend Nguyễn Tiến Minh, Nguyễn Thùy Linh is the biggest hope for Vietnamese badminton. The player affiliated with Dong Nai dominates domestic tournaments and has achieved numerous successes on the world stage: three consecutive years winning the Super 100 Vietnam Open; two consecutive years as runner-up at the Super 300 German Open; runner-up at the Super 300 Canada Open; participated in two consecutive Olympic Games in Tokyo and Paris; reaching her highest world ranking at 17th.
Thùy Linh is currently resting following an injury sustained at the 2025 China Masters, expected to skip all tournaments in October and return only at the Korea Masters starting on November 4 in Iksan, South Korea.
