Former Los Angeles Dodgers South Korean pitcher Park Chan-ho became a wildfire victim and his Los Angeles residence was completely destroyed

Former MLB Major League Baseball South Korean pitcher Park Chan-ho, who was one of the victims of the Los Angeles wildfires in the United States, confirmed that his residence in Beverly Hills had been completely burned down, and his wife and family evacuated to a nearby hotel for refuge. Park Chan-ho, who was in South Korea at the time of the fire, had already brought important baseball memorabilia back to his hometown in South Korea, and he planned to rebuild his Los Angeles home once the wildfires subsided.

The 51-year-old Park Chan-ho spent his first season in the United States in Los Angeles in 1994, where he was selected to the All-Star Game once in nine seasons and won more than 13 in five consecutive seasons. In 2005, he moved to the Texas Rangers and earned five years and $65 million, and was a very high-paid starting pitcher at the time. He was then traded away by the Ranger and played for several teams before moving to Japan in 2011 to continue his career.

Park Chan-ho, whose wife is Japanese-Korean and has three daughters, has introduced his Los Angeles residence on a South Korean show. The vast majority of wildfire victims were evacuated safely, but the economic damage is difficult to estimate and could exceed $150 billion.

Dodgers' World Series MVP Freddie Freeman donated $300,000 to the fire team, his wife made an additional donation to help pets in need of temporary shelter, and the Dodgers team also stated over the weekend that they were willing to do their part in the disaster. Professional baseball players are currently on winter break, and professional basketball and NBA have been more affected, including the postponement of home games for the Los Angeles Lakers.
