Los Angeles Dodgers closer Tanner Scott was taken off the roster during the National League Division Series because of an injury. Per regulations, he can be added back to the roster for the World Series. Today (21st), he mentioned in an interview that he feels significantly improved and is conducting bullpen workouts to get ready for the World Series.
Scott was replaced before Game 4 of the NLDS due to an emergency abscess removal surgery, with Justin Wrobleski taking his place. According to the rules, he is not allowed to pitch in the NL Championship Series and must sit out one series. In other words, he can be added to the active roster for the upcoming World Series.
In today’s interview, Scott stated that he feels "physically well" and has already completed several bullpen sessions.
The Dodgers’ primary bullpen pitchers currently include Anthony Banda, Blake Treinen, Alex Vesia, and Roki Sasaki. As for Scott, he has yet to appear in any postseason games this year, making it difficult to assess his condition, and whether he will be included on the World Series roster remains uncertain.
