Despite not appearing at all during the playoffs, Scott still celebrated the Dodgers' championship win: "I promise to be stronger in 2026."

The Los Angeles Dodgers managed to repeat as champions this season, achieving consecutive titles. Nevertheless, their key bullpen pitcher Tanner Scott saw no action during the entire postseason but still walked away with his first-ever championship ring. He expressed his feelings on Instagram today.

Before the season started, Scott signed a four-year, $72 million contract with the Dodgers. However, his performance noticeably declined this year, appearing in 61 games with an earned run average of 4.74. While he recorded 23 saves, he also had 10 blown saves. His batting average against (.254) and WHIP (1.26) showed significant regression compared to the previous two seasons.

During the playoffs, Scott briefly missed time due to surgery for a lower-body abscess. He was unable to rejoin the Dodgers' 26-man roster even during the World Series. Despite this, Scott still shared in the joy of the Dodgers' World Series victory and received his first career championship ring.

On Instagram, Scott wrote: "Playoffs in 2025... putting everything aside, winning the World Series ring is an achievement no one can take away! In 2026, I promise I will be stronger!"
