Beloved brewer live announcer "Mr. Baseball" Bob Uecker has passed away at the age of 90

The death of fan-favorite Milwaukee Brewers live announcer Bob Uccker, the face of the Milwaukee Brewers in his hometown of Milwaukee, who earned the nickname "Mr. Baseball" and Hall of Fame honors after a brief career at the age of 90.

The brewers announced Bob Uccker's death Thursday morning, arguing that it was "one of the most difficult days in the history of Milwaukee brewers," noting in a statement released by the team that his family said he has faced a personal battle with small cell lung cancer since the beginning of 2023.

"Even in the face of such challenges, his passion for life has always been there, and he has never let his spirit waver." ,said the family.

"Bob Uecker is always the funniest person in any room he is, always an outstanding ambassador for our national recreation, and we are grateful for a baseball life like this, and we will never forget him," MLB president Rob Manfred said in a statement.
