North Korea won its first medal at the 2025 Harbin Asian Winter Games – silver in figure skating pairs Lion Daeok/Han Kim Chol. So far, North Korea has won medals in figure skating pairs for three consecutive Asian Winter Games, starting from the 2011 Astana-Almaty Asian Winter Games. In 2011, the Lee Ji Hyang/Tae Won Hyuk combination won the bronze medal, and the 2017 Sapporo Asian Winter Games Yeom Daeok/Kim Joo Sik won the bronze medal. North Korean player Yeom Dae-ok successfully won medals in two consecutive Asian Winter Games.
