Ohtani bobblehead night yields only one hit, Muncy's three homers including walk-off blast propel Dodgers to first 10 wins.

On Shohei Ohtani's bobblehead night, he had one hit in four at-bats plus an intentional walk, pushing his consecutive on-base streak to 44 games and overtaking Ichiro Suzuki's mark for Japanese players, though he was overshadowed today. The Dodgers lineup featured brighter stars: Max Muncy blasted three home runs, including a walk-off solo shot in the ninth inning, helping the Dodgers defeat the Rangers 8-7 and become the first MLB team this season to reach 10 wins.

The Dodgers returned home today to begin a three-game series against the Rangers. Ohtani batted as the leadoff designated hitter. In the fifth inning, he singled against starter Kumar Rocker, breaking Ichiro Suzuki's 43-game on-base streak set in 2009 and claiming the top spot among Japanese players. As for the MLB record, Ohtani's challenge is just halfway there; the record belongs to Ted Williams' 84-game streak in 1949.

Dodgers starter Tyler Glasnow threw 100 pitches over six innings, with all four runs allowed coming from home runs: a three-run homer by Corey Seager in the third inning and a solo shot by Wyatt Langford in the fifth.

The Dodgers offense was ignited early by Muncy, who hit solo homers in the second and fourth innings. In the fifth, Andy Pages walked and Alex Freeland singled, putting runners on first and third; Hyeseong Kim's sacrifice fly brought in one run. Trailing 3-4, Pages hit a two-run double with two on in the sixth to reverse the game. Pages then added a two-run homer in the eighth to extend the lead to 7-4.

The game reached a dramatic climax in the ninth inning. Dodgers closer Edwin Díaz failed to seal the win, first yielding a two-run homer to Evan Carter, then allowing an RBI single to Ezequiel Duran with runners on first and second, tying the game 7-7. But Muncy refused extra innings: with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, he homered again against Jacob Latz, ending the game with one swing.
