Dodgers relief pitcher Evan Phillips tossed a scoreless frame today for Triple-A Oklahoma City in their matchup against Sacramento at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The righty, rehabbing from Tommy John surgery and close to rejoining the team, gave up one hit, walked one batter, and fanned one, using 19 pitches (11 for strikes).
Today's appearance marked Phillips' sixth outing since beginning his rehab assignment with Oklahoma City on June 4th. With this scoreless inning, he has lowered his ERA across those six rehab games to 1.59. If all goes smoothly, the 31-year-old right-hander could return to the Dodgers' bullpen at some point in July.
When Phillips makes his comeback, it will be his first major league appearance since May 5, 2025. Over eight big-league seasons, he holds a career ERA of 3.36. Since the Dodgers claimed him off waivers from the Tampa Bay Rays in 2021, he has been highly effective. In 201 games with Los Angeles, he has posted a stellar 2.22 ERA and established himself as one of manager Dave Roberts' most trusted arms in high-leverage situations.
The Dodgers re-signed Phillips to a one-year, $6.5 million contract this past offseason.
