Water baseball is an innovative sport that combines traditional baseball rules with the characteristics of water sports, where participants need to complete batting, running bases and defending actions on special fields such as water or floating platforms, which are competitive, fun and teamwork.
Site Requirements:
Recommended water depth 0.8-1.5 m (suitable for standing or swimming)
Set up 4 floating bulks (inflatable buoys can be used), distributed in a diamond shape, with a spacing of 15-20 meters
The batting area is located on the "home plate" float and the pitcher area is located in the central waters
Special equipment
Ball: Lightweight waterproof soft ball (to avoid sinking and reduce hit damage)
Bat: Short-handled waterproof foam swab or inflatable stick
Clothing: quick-drying sportswear/swimwear + non-slip water shoes (optional life jacket)
Team composition
6-8 players per team, divided into attacker (batting) and defender (pitching, receiving)
After 3 exits in each game, the offense and defense are exchanged, and a total of 5 rounds are decided
How the score is scored
After batting, swim counterclockwise, touch 1→2→3rd base and return home plate to score 1 point
The batsman is out if the ball is caught by the defender before it lands→
The runner is killed (the defender touches the ball) → out
Special Rules
"Floating Home Run": Hit the ball directly into the far-mark buoy, and all players score automatically
"Splash Interference": Allows the defender to slap the water to make a wave (no physical contact)
Participants are required to pass a basic swimming test
Dangerous actions such as pushing, diving, and pulling are prohibited
It is recommended to have 1-2 lifeguards and first aid equipment
Team Sprint: Hit the ball continuously within a fixed period of time, and the cumulative number of base laps will determine the winner
Water Polo Mixed Battle: Allowing small water cannons to interfere with runners (upper body spray only)
Night Mode: Use phosphor balls and glowing packs to add visual interest
