The Atlanta Warriors star outfielder has not passed a drug test and has been suspended for 80 games and cannot play in the playoffs

MLB officially announced this week that Warriors star outfielder Jurickson Profar will be banned from the playoffs for 80 games after testing positive for human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), an officially controlled performance-enhancing drug. The Warriors signed Profa to a three-year, $42 million contract in January, and after a four-game losing streak at the start of the new season, he was thankfully not paid during the suspension. Profa is expected to lose nearly $6 million on a salary of $12 million this year.

The Atlanta Warriors issued a statement: "We are shocked and disappointed, and we fully support the prevention and treatment policies of the major leagues, and hope that Profa will learn its lessons." Profa had a career year with the Padres, and last year he was named to the All-Star Game for the first time in his career, earning the Warriors a three-year, high-salary contract.

Profa was a longtime player with the San Diego Padres and also played tricks on Dodgers fans in the National League Division Series G2. This year, he moved to the Warriors of the Eastern Division of the National League, and it happened that he was suspended just before the Warriors and Dodgers series.
