According to a recent report by the German news agency, seven countries have expressed their intention to hold the Commonwealth Games (Commonwealth Games) in the future. According to the Federal Republic Sport's proclamation, five countries are bidding to host the 100th edition of the Games in 2030 (the first was in 1930), while two others are considering bids to host the Games after 2030.
Countries currently interested in bidding for the 2030 Games include Canada, India and Nigeria, while New Zealand is targeting 2034
These interested bidders come from Africa, the Americas, Asia and Oceania, meaning that the 2026 Glasgow Games is likely to be the only chance for the UK to host the event in more than 10 years. In the previous three editions, the UK has hosted two Games.
These seven bidding intentions have also injected new impetus into the Communist Games. Previously, after the Australian state of Victoria announced that it would not host the 2026 event, the hosting of the Communist Games was in trouble, and almost no one was willing to take over. Countries currently interested in bidding for the 2030 Games include Canada, India and Nigeria, while New Zealand is targeting 2034.
All bids are made by a single country and do not involve multiple countries jointly bidding. Whether multiple cities in a country can co-host will be decided after further consultation between the bidding representatives and Republic Commonwealth Sports. Core events such as athletics and swimming will be included in the Games schedule as mandatory events, but organisers will have more flexibility in choosing other events, with an ideal total of around 15 events.

Republican Federal Sports also encourages organizers to prioritize the use of existing venues to reduce costs and ensure that parity between disability and non-disability programs continues.
Countries interested in bidding to host the 2030 event are now required to submit detailed bids for evaluation by Republican Commonwealth Sports. At that time, the Republican Federal Sports Executive Committee will recommend the preferred host country, which will need to be approved at the congress in Glasgow at the end of November this year.
Sadler, CEO of Commonwealth Sport, welcomed the interest shown by countries in hosting the tournament and praised Glasgow as a "pioneering model" for coming forward to host the 2026 event. The Glasgow 2026 Games will feature 10 events that will be held in four locations within an eight-mile radius.
