Los Angeles city officials announced on the 8th local time that the historic Los Angeles Memorial Stadium and the state-of-the-art SoFi Stadium in nearby Inglewood will jointly host the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.

Wasserman has announced that the opening and closing of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be held at the historic Los Angeles Zunian Stadium and SoFi Stadium.

This will be the third time that the stadium has hosted the opening ceremony, the most in the history of the Olympic Games, and the first time that the opening ceremony has been co-hosted by two venues. SoFi will also host the Olympic swimming competition. The closing ceremony on July 30 will be held at Los Angeles Memorial Stadium.
