The 2025 World Table Tennis Championships will be ignited in Doha, Qatar on May 17 (Saturday), and the Chinese Taipei team will embark on the journey on the 14th. A group of 29 members of the Chinese Taipei team, led by Zhao Chongguang, chairman of the Table Tennis Association, took a flight to Doha at half past 1 pm today, the last World Championships 2023 will be held in South Africa, the Chinese Taipei team returned empty-handed, hoping to make a breakthrough this year.

Lin Yunru/Zheng Yijing, who won the mixed doubles bronze medal at Tokyo 2021, are back together this year, having won bronze in the mixed doubles at the 2021 World Championships. In the last World Championships, Lin Yunrugai and Chen Siyu partnered, and the two reached the top 8 all the way to the top 8 before losing to the Paris Olympic gold medal pair Wang Chuqin/Sun Yingsha.

In Men's Doubles, Lin Yunru and Ko Seung-rui reached the final of this year's WTT Singapore Grand Slam for the first time and finished runners-up, and the two sides have high hopes for working together again at this World Championships.

The Chinese Taipei team also trained at the Zuoying Training Center for 10 days before the trip, and Lin Yunru specially discharged the time to train doubles with Zheng Yijing and Gao Chengrui, and was familiar with running positions and tactics.

The World Championships draw was announced in advance on May 1, Lin Yunru may meet his friend German veteran Ocharov again in the men's singles round of 32, but coach Wang Yize said that after playing the World Cup, he discussed with Lin Yunru that he would not deliberately look at the signing table in the next game, that is, to be yourself, treat every game as a challenge, and fight one game at a time, he also revealed that Lin Yunru's current physical condition and mentality are well adjusted.

Since Lin Yunru participated in the World Championships for the first time in 2017, he has improved one round in each singles, and lost to the national table tennis star Lin Gaoyuan 1:4 in the round of 16 in the last session, creating his best result in the World Championships.
