On August 23rd, the EuroBasket warm-up matches went on, with Lithuania winning 96-83 against Iceland, Greece narrowly beating Italy 76-74, and Great Britain securing a 72-62 win over Estonia.

Lithuania 96-83 Iceland

In a EuroBasket warm-up game, Tubelis scored 16 of his total 23 points in the first half, guiding Lithuania to a 96-83 win over Iceland.

Valančiūnas contributed 17 points and 8 rebounds in just 16 minutes for Lithuania, who finished their EuroBasket training camp with a 6-1 record. Their only defeat came against Turkey, led by Şengün.

Hermannsson led the balanced Icelandic team by scoring 13 points, making him the top scorer for his side. Iceland ended their warm-up games with a 1-4 record.

Lithuania will compete in Group B in Tampere, Finland, facing Germany, Sweden, Montenegro, Great Britain, and Finland. Iceland will play in Group B in Katowice, Poland, against France, Slovenia, Belgium, Israel, and Poland.

Greece 76-74 Italy

In the final match of the 2025 Acropolis Tournament, the Greek men's basketball team secured a narrow 76-74 victory over Italy, powered by a dominant third quarter. Notably, Greece achieved this win despite missing three key players: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Sloukas, and Mitoglou.

During the first half, Italy held a clear advantage, leading Greece 40-30 at halftime. However, after the break, Greece exploded in the third quarter with a 27-10 run, overturning the deficit and taking control of the game. Although Italy fought back late to reduce the gap to just 2 points, Greece maintained their lead and ultimately claimed the win.

On the player stats side, Greece showed balanced scoring: Tyler Dorsey led with 14 points and 4 assists, serving as the offensive focal point; Papanikolaou added 11 points; Calathes contributed 10 points and 5 rebounds, impacting both ends; and Toliopoulos also scored 10 points, providing reliable scoring off the bench.

For Italy, two players scored in double figures: Fontecchio stood out with 18 points and 6 rebounds; Nia added 14 points and 6 rebounds, forming a strong inside presence alongside Fontecchio; Nicolo Melli, while not reaching double digits, contributed a well-rounded stat line of 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists, orchestrating the team's offense and defense.
