A reporter from Qingdao basketball team revealed,that Wang Ruizhe will represent Guangdong in this year's National Games.

Wang Ruizhe, born June 27, 1995, recently celebrated his 30th birthday, was the 5th pick in the second round of the 2019 draft, and has been Qingdao's core forward for many years. Last season, he averaged 15.2 points, 4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game in the regular season, shooting 35.5% from three-point range with 2.3 made threes per game; in the playoffs, he posted 15.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game, hitting 38% of his threes with 2.4 made per game.

This guy was selected for the All-Star team in both the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons and won the three-point contest in the 2022-23 season, making him arguably the strongest second-round pick in CBA history and the most trusted shooter during Yang Hansen’s time with Qingdao.

However, it is important to note that Wang Ruizhe is only representing Guangdong in the National Games and has not left Qingdao. His current contract (Category C) runs until next summer, and he is expected to receive a Category D max salary renewal, with no reason for him to leave voluntarily or be traded.
