Yang Hansen’s August training revealed: engaged in strength and skill drills plus 5-on-5 scrimmages to enhance offensive and defensive speed and intensity.

How has Yang Hansen’s training been in the US? Many fans are eager to know about his recent progress. On September 2nd Beijing time, Yang Hansen’s studio updated social media, reviewing his August training schedule —

On August 9th local time, Yang Hansen returned to Portland and officially started the first summer training camp on August 11th, which lasted five days, concentrating on strength workouts, skill drills, and 5-on-5 competitions, highlighting defensive toughness and quickness in offense and defense.

On August 17th, the young players of the Trail Blazers traveled together to Miami to join a training camp organized by veteran Jerian Grant (brother of Trail Blazers’ Jerami Grant). The camp focused mainly on skill training and internal 5-on-5 games, with the team’s fitness coach also arranging individual strength sessions early each morning.

After the Miami camp, Yang Hansen went to New Jersey for a three-day NBA rookie program, which included financial education, personality assessments, community service, social media training, and player interviews.

Following the rookie program, Yang Hansen headed to Los Angeles to reunite with the team for a four-day 5-on-5 scrimmage. Outside training, he also attended team-organized English classes to improve his language skills.

In September, Yang Hansen will continue to participate in the Trail Blazers’ preseason training camps and related development activities. We believe that every drop of sweat counts, each marking the relentless effort and growth.

During the Las Vegas Summer League, Yang Hansen demonstrated promising potential. Across four games, he averaged 10.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.2 blocks per game, shooting 46% from the field, 33% from three, and 88% from the free-throw line. Several Trail Blazers insiders predict he will become a reliable backup center with consistent playing time. Let’s look forward to Yang Hansen’s upcoming season together.
