It's confirmed! Officially entering the CBA! China's future top-tier wing guard swingman

Who are the promising rookies to keep an eye on for the new CBA season?

Chen Jiazheng, born on January 21, 2006, is a 1.94-meter wing guard swingman who joined Guangdong under an A1 contract (expires summer 2028).This year at the U19 World Cup, he averaged 15.4 points per game, becoming the top scorer for the Chinese men's basketball team, with a three-point shooting accuracy of 60% (18 of 30), making him a consistently excellent wing shooter.

However, for Chen Jiazheng to have a true rookie season, earning enough playing time amid competition with Hu Mingxuan and Cui Yongxi will be quite challenging; at least in the 2025-26 season, expectations for significant minutes against the former should not be too high.

Li Yuezhou, born April 9, 2007, approximately 1.9 meters tall, is a combo guard who signed an A1 contract with Zhejiang (valid until summer 2029).Last year at the U17 Men's Basketball World Cup, he averaged 15 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.7 steals per game, with a three-point shooting percentage of 52.9%. Like Chen Jiazheng, he excels in shooting but also possesses a more well-rounded skill set.

With Wu Qian serving as both player and assistant coach, and Wang Yibo moving to Qingdao, Zhejiang's backcourt for the new season will mainly rely on Cheng Shuaipeng and Li Yuezhou. Overall, Li Yuezhou should not worry about playing time in his rookie season, which will help him quickly develop and adjust to the intensity and pace of professional basketball.

Dan Houran, born April 20, 2005, standing 2.08 meters tall, joined Shanxi with an A1 contract (valid until summer 2027).Known as the "next Yi Jianlian," he boasts exceptional athletic talent. At the 2023 U19 World Cup, he averaged 11.9 minutes, 4.9 points, 3 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game, with a shooting accuracy of 68.4%.

Notably, last season Dan Houran played for Seattle University, appearing in 32 games with 5 starts, averaging 11.2 minutes, 3.7 points, and 2.2 rebounds per game, shooting 51.3%. During a game against Duke University, he directly defended this year's NBA top draft pick, Paolo Banchero, successfully holding him one-on-one.

According to several media sources, Dan Houran will continue to represent Seattle University in the upcoming season and only return to Shanxi to debut in the CBA after the conclusion of the NCAA 2025-26 season.
