From 118 to 122! Yang Hansen is impressive! The future cornerstone of China's men's basketball.

The American sports training system is truly effective; in a short timeYang Hansen's weight increased from 118 kg to 122 kgsignificantly boosting his physical confrontation ability.

It's muscle, not fat. Recent training photos clearly show that his body size has grown, with more defined muscle contours.

It is reported that recently the Trail Blazers coaching staff specially designed a muscle gain plan for Yang Hansen, including a daily intake of 4,500 calories and 200 grams of protein combined with weight training, aiming to improve his physical toughness and reduce injury risk; additionally, the team has him practice 200 three-point shots daily, using a moving interference shooting machine to simulate NBA-level defensive pressure, striving to raise his three-point shooting percentage from 33.3% in the Summer League to over 38%...

In this year's NBA Summer League, Yang Hansen played 4 games for the Trail Blazers, averaging 24.4 minutes, contributing 10.8 points, 5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.3 blocks with shooting percentages of 45.7%, 33.3%, and 87.5%. Although his performance was impressive, it also revealed weaknesses such as insufficient stamina and poor rebounding defense, which the Trail Blazers have addressed with targeted training during the offseason.

In October this year, the Trail Blazers will officially start preparations for the 2025-26 season, with the preseason schedule as follows:

October 9th, away game vs. Warriors;

October 11th, home game vs. Kings;

October 15th, home game vs. Warriors;

October 17th, away game vs. Jazz.

In a way, the preseason is almost like the regular season, and it will reveal Yang Hansen’s role on the Trail Blazers. Most likely, the center position will be shared between Klingen (starter) and Yang Hansen (reserve).

As the 16th overall pick in the first round from China, Yang Hansen will be one of the most watched rookies next season. The pressure he faces goes beyond the court, touching many aspects of life, even beyond basketball, but this also serves as great motivation to adapt and grow quickly.

Playing basketball in a foreign land is never easy; it's truly challenging. Wishing him all the best.
