In the opening round of the Spanish LEB Plata, Yu Jiahao’s team Alega Cantabria was decisively beaten 72-96 by CB Zamora.

Yu Jiahao started this game, playing roughly 24 minutes, shooting 1 for 3 overall, missing his only three-point attempt, making 7 out of 10 free throws, and tallying 9 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, while committing 3 turnovers.

In the recently concluded Asia Cup, Yu Jiahao served as the primary backup center for the Chinese men’s basketball team, averaging 7.2 points and 4.7 rebounds per game with a shooting percentage of 45.5%, helping the team secure the runner-up position.

Earlier in his professional career, Yu Jiahao played for Zhejiang team, reaching the playoffs four times in four seasons, and in the 22-23 season, advanced to the finals, only to be swept 0-4 by the Liaoning team.

Last season, Yu Jiahao appeared in 42 regular-season games, starting 34 times, averaging 30 minutes on the court, contributing 13.5 points, 8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists with a shooting accuracy of 62%; in the playoffs, he started all 3 games, averaging 33.3 minutes, scoring 17.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1 assist, shooting at 63.3%.

Throughout his CBA career so far, Yu Jiahao has earned the annual Best Rookie award once, been selected three times for the domestic players’ second team, and once for the All-Star team.
