No more suing LeBron! Lakers fan drops lawsuit after receiving compensation for "The Decision 2" claim of $865.66

On October 21st, Beijing time, TMZ Sports reported that a Lakers fan who alleged financial loss caused by LeBron James's "The Decision 2" has recently moved to dismiss the lawsuit against the basketball legend.

Documents obtained show that a fan named Andrew Garcia filed today in Los Angeles County Court to dismiss his small claims case against the "King," after initially claiming 12 days ago that the basketball player owed him $865.66.

Garcia stated that on October 7th, LeBron told his millions of fans about a major announcement, which seemed to hint at his retirement, prompting him to quickly buy tickets on Ticketmaster to watch LeBron’s final game against his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Garcia said he paid $432.83 each for two tickets to the March 31, 2026 game, but when LeBron’s big announcement turned out to be just an alcohol commercial, he claimed the tickets lost nearly all their value.

In the lawsuit, Garcia wrote that LeBron owed him money due to “fraud, deceit, misrepresentation, and any and all lawful claims,” but this week he told us that an unexpected message from PrizePicks changed his mind.

He said a representative from the daily fantasy sports app contacted him, saying they had heard his story and wanted to offer something, including free Lakers tickets and some memorabilia to make up for his trouble. Once he accepted the offer, he decided he no longer needed anything from LeBron.

As for LeBron, neither he nor his team has ever publicly commented on this legal matter.
