Although the account carried a blue verification badge, these badges can now be purchased and do not guarantee authenticity. Moreover, the username contained an extra “n” beyond Yang Hansen’s correct pinyin spelling.

Whether this impersonation account is speaking on Yang Hansen’s behalf, we do not know, but Yang Hansen indeed joined the Portland Trail Blazers with significant attention.
