James and Curry team up once again! The latest guest on LeBron's podcast is the greatest shooter in history, Stephen Curry.

On November 4th Beijing time, LeBron reposted a major preview for the podcast. The next guest on "Mind the Game," which he co-hosts with Nash, is Warriors star Stephen Curry. The podcast account wrote: "This week’s guest is Stephen Curry, the greatest shooter in NBA history."

LeBron and Curry keep pushing the boundaries of what is thought possible regarding career longevity in the NBA. Even as LeBron approaches 41 and Curry turns 37, both remain at the peak of their games, demonstrating remarkable consistency and a relentless will to win.

"Mind the Game" analyzes basketball from a tactical perspective, hosted by two of the NBA’s most basketball-savvy figures. With Curry joining, the show gains rich storytelling combined with tactical depth, a rare combination among active players.

“Throughout NBA history, there have always been players who maintain an edge no matter the strategy,” LeBron said in the preview clip. “That is exactly why Stephen Curry is so great.”

Their connection runs deep. From LeBron’s four NBA Finals battles with the Cavaliers against Curry’s Warriors, to their classic matchups after LeBron joined the Lakers, their rivalry is marked by fierce competition and mutual respect. At the Paris Olympics, they teamed up to win gold for Team USA, reaffirming their respect for one another.

Once the podcast news broke, fans immediately started buzzing. One user commented: “LeBron always cheers for others. When you’re at the top, you don’t need to put others down to prove yourself.” Another said: “It’s hilarious—fans of both teams argue endlessly, unaware that these two are actually good friends.”

Curry: Fully committed to helping the team regain form before the podcast recording

As the podcast hype grows, Curry balances external attention with leading the Warriors back on track. The Warriors started the season strong with a 4-1 record but suffered two consecutive losses last weekend, including a 109-114 defeat to an injury-hit Indiana Pacers squad.

After the game, Warriors coach Kerr openly addressed the team’s issues, saying they lacked focus in winnable matches. Curry agreed and took responsibility for the team’s struggles.

“This game forces you to reflect on yourself,” Curry said in a post-game interview. “At times, I made things too complicated — poor tactical execution, bad offensive possessions, and some lapses in effort. Against a team like the Pacers, giving them any breathing room puts you on the back foot. This game reminded us we must maintain a high level throughout.”

Although Curry scored 24 points, he had his worst shooting performance this season — hitting only 8 of 23 attempts and committing 5 turnovers, marking his second straight game with five turnovers.

Veteran focus and mental control

Curry quickly emphasized that leadership and pre-game preparation are crucial during team adjustments. “The key is maintaining a professional mindset,” he said. “You must know your role and prepare your body and mind to perform at your best. As veterans, we have to lead by example and put this attitude into practice.”

He further stressed the importance of “mental sharpness”: “Even if your body isn’t at 100%, you still need to control the game with your mind. Sometimes we unnecessarily complicate things. The solution is clear — review game footage to identify issues, understand league trends, learn each team’s pace, and then make the necessary adjustments.”

Curry’s timing to join the "Mind the Game" podcast is perfect. Both he and LeBron are currently reflecting on how to sustain elite performance through experience. This conversation promises to deeply explore why most players fade from their prime early, yet they continue to perform at the highest level for so long.
