On November 4th Beijing time, the NBA officially announced the second week’s Players of the Week. Thunder’s Alexander was selected as the Western Conference Player of the Week, while 76ers’ Maxey took the Eastern Conference Player of the Week title. This is Alexander’s seventh career weekly honor and Maxey’s third. Although Doncic led all players with a 36.5 points per game average last week, he was only nominated and did not secure the award.

Western Conference Player of the Week: Alexander
Over the past week, Alexander averaged 28.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists, shooting 52.4% from the field, 31.6% from three, and a perfect 100% from the free-throw line, leading the Thunder to a 4-0 record.

In the game against the Mavericks, Alexander scored 23 points with 4 rebounds and 8 assists; versus the Kings, he posted 31 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks; against the Wizards, he had 31 points, 3 rebounds, and 7 assists; and versus the Pelicans, he recorded 30 points, 2 rebounds, and 7 assists. In his career so far, Alexander has scored 20 or more points in 79 consecutive games, ranking third all-time, behind only Chamberlain’s records of 126 and 92 consecutive games.
This season, Alexander is averaging 33.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game, with shooting splits of 52.6% from the field, 26.8% from three, and 89.6% from the free-throw line. The Thunder hold a perfect 7-0 record and are currently the only undefeated team in the league.
Eastern Conference Player of the Week: Maxey
In the last week, Maxey averaged 33.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 9.8 assists, shooting 46.7% from the field, 36.6% from three, and 89.2% from the free-throw line, helping the 76ers achieve a 3-1 record.

In the game against the Magic, Maxey scored 43 points with 4 rebounds and 8 assists; against the Wizards, he put up 39 points, 3 rebounds, and 10 assists; versus the Celtics, he contributed 26 points, 8 rebounds, 14 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks; and against the Nets, he tallied 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists.
So far this season, Maxey is averaging 33.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 9 assists per game, shooting 46.3% from the field, 46.4% from beyond the arc, and 87.7% from the free-throw line. The 76ers hold a 5-1 record, currently leading the Eastern Conference.
