The 26-year-old forward has appeared in nearly 100 NBA games, including 60 with the Indiana Pacersand most recently played for the basketball affiliate of the Sacramento Kingsin the NBA G-League, Stockton Kingswhere he averaged a solid 16 points and eight rebounds across 47 games.
Taylor takes over the Brisbane Bullets import position left open by fellow American Jaylen Adams, who was controversially released after only 12 games, during which he averaged 12 points and three rebounds per game and reportedly faced criticism from coaching staff for poor work ethic and conduct.
Adams has since joined BC Parma in Russia's VTB United League.
On Monday afternoon, the Bullets announced that Taylor was chosen for his "exceptional rebounding ability, scoring on second chances, defensive flexibility, and relentless energy".
"“Terry is tough, unselfish, and competes hard,” Bullets head coach Stu Lash told reporters.
“We believe he fits well with our team and will make us even more difficult to beat.”
This marks a great couple of weeks for the Bullets off the court, following the unexpected return of star import Javon Freeman-Liberty in mid-October.
“From an outsider’s perspective, it’s clear the Brisbane Bullets are building something special,” Taylor said upon joining the team.
“I’m eager to earn my playing time and contribute a piece that helps move us forward.
“I appreciate the chance and am ready to get to work."
