No more playing! Latest injury update on Giannis Antetokounmpo! The NBA is about to witness an epic trade.

Insider Shams reveals:Giannis suffered a right calf strain and is anticipated to miss 2-4 weeks.

The injury occurred in the recent Bucks home game versus the Pistons, where Giannis played just three minutes before exiting. This could potentially be his final appearance for Milwaukee.

According to various sources, Giannis is frustrated with the Bucks’ championship prospects and is likely to leave the team. Starting from the 15th of this month, many teams will begin trade talks, and all other 29 NBA teams are eyeing the Greek Freak closely, even those with little chance will still try to make an offer.

Currently, the Bucks hold a 10-13 record, ranking tenth in the Eastern Conference. Giannis has played 17 games, averaging 29.1 minutes, with impressive stats of 28.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game, shooting an outstanding 63.9% from the field. His contract runs through the summer of 2028, with a salary of $54.13 million this season and about $120 million combined over the next two seasons.

So far, teams mentioned in the Giannis trade rumors include the Warriors, Lakers, Rockets, Spurs, Knicks, Bulls, and Hawks. According to American reporters,Luka Dončić has inquired with the Lakers about the possibility of trading for Giannis from the Bucks.

If the Lakers are truly determined to acquire Giannis, their core trade package would likely include Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura, along with future draft picks.

Reaves has delivered an extraordinary performance this season, averaging 28.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game with a 52.6% shooting rate. Next summer, he can opt out of his player option to become a free agent, potentially signing a five-year max contract worth $241 million with the Lakers or a four-year deal worth $178.5 million with another team.

From start to finish, there has been no indication that the Lakers plan to offer Reaves a max extension, but given his top-tier performance this season, if they realize they can’t keep him and don’t want to lose him for nothing, trading him for Giannis now would be perfect to form a new Big Three.

Giannis joining the Lakers would fulfill their championship ambitions and allow him to play in a major city; meanwhile, Reaves going to the Bucks would enjoy a guaranteed leading role and have a better chance at securing a max contract next summer.

A win-win situation, of course, all depends on the Lakers standing out among many competitors.
