On December 7th Beijing time, it was reported earlier that the Trail Blazers have called back their center Yang Hansen from the G League team. Yang Hansen traveled across 3 cities in 5 days, covering nearly 7,000 kilometers by air!

After the Blazers’ road loss to the Cavaliers on the 4th, Yang Hansen was assigned to the G League. He flew approximately 3,800 kilometers from Cleveland to Portland and played in the mixing game on the 5th. On the 6th, the Blazers officially announced his recall, and he will fly another 3,200 kilometers to Memphis to compete against the Grizzlies on the 8th.
Trail Blazers’ interior key player Klingen missed the game against the Pistons due to a left calf contusion. According to team reporter Sean Highkin, his status for the away game against the Grizzlies is listed as questionable. This partly explains why the Blazers recalled Yang Hansen from the mixing team, as the squad urgently needs available rotation players.
In his previous game with the mixing team, Yang Hansen played 35 minutes, shooting 7 of 14 from the field, including 2 of 6 from three-point range, and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line, finishing with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Upon learning of his recall, he immediately headed to the arena to practice shooting.

In the latest documentary on Yang Hansen’s development, he firmly told the camera, “As I always say, every step I take counts.” He is ready to face new challenges. Reflecting on his performance and experiences since the season began, Yang also expressed, “I feel my mindset has grown.”
