Yang Hansen will miss the game against the Pelicans due to a facial contusion! Klingenrowe is also out, leaving Reese as the only center available to play.

On December 12th Beijing time, the Trail Blazers officially updated their injury report for today's matchup against the Pelicans. Both Yang Hansen (facial contusion) and Rowe (illness) were confirmed out, and with Klingen already sidelined due to a left leg contusion, all three centers on the team are unavailable. Dupe Reese remains the sole center able to take the court.

Including Yang Hansen, Rowe, and Klingen, the Blazers have eight confirmed absences today. The other five players sidelined are Henderson (left hamstring tear), Ju Holiday (right calf strain), Lillard (left Achilles injury), Sable (left thumb ligament tear), and Wesley (right foot fracture).

Hansen was injured during the game against the Grizzlies. Previously, the Blazers’ official team reporter noted that nearly half the team was still sick. Reporter Freeman revealed that Yang Hansen caught the flu as well. This rookie center had tried to train despite being ill but was immediately sent home by the team upon arrival. He traveled with the team to New Orleans and participated in the morning practice there but was ultimately ruled out of the game.

With the three main big men out, the Blazers face a crisis in their frontcourt. Although Hansen has performed well in the development league, he is still adjusting to the NBA. In his first 13 NBA regular season games, Yang Hansen has averaged only 7.7 minutes per game, posting 2.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.8 assists, with an overall shooting percentage of just 30.0%; from beyond the arc, he has made only 1 of 16 attempts, shooting 6.3%.
