Announced! Haliburton joins Amazon! The NBA's top organizing point guard

Amazon Prime Video has officially declared,Haliburton will participate in the rest of this season’s "NBA on Prime" as a player guest involved in the program’s production.

In June of this year, Haliburton tore his Achilles tendon, causing him to miss the entire 25-26 season.The Pacers have significantly declined this season after Haliburton’s injury and Turner’s move to the Bucks, securing only 6 wins against 18 losses, ranking second to last in the Eastern Conference.

Haliburton was born on February 29, 2000, selected 12th overall in the first round of the 2020 draft. He started his NBA career with the Kings for two seasons before being traded to the Pacers in early 2022, marking the beginning of his magical journey.

The 22-23 season was Haliburton’s first full season with the Pacers, where he averaged 20.7 points and 10.4 assists per game, earning his first All-Star selection; in the 23-24 season, he continued to excel, averaging 20.1 points and 10.9 assists during the regular season, making the All-Star team again, and posting 18.7 points and 8.2 assists in the playoffs to lead the team to the Eastern Conference Finals.

In the 24-25 season, although Haliburton missed the All-Star selection, the team achieved a new milestone by advancing out of the East and reaching the NBA Finals, where they battled the formidable Thunder in a seven-game series but fell short of the championship. Notably, Haliburton suffered the Achilles injury during Game 7 of the Finals, truly giving his all.

Fortunately, Haliburton is only 25 years old, and with today’s advanced medical technology, he has a strong chance to return to All-Star form after recovery. Importantly, he signed a five-year, $245 million super max contract in the summer of 2023, allowing him to focus fully on rehabilitation.

In short, despite the Pacers’ current struggles that seem temporary, once Haliburton—the indispensable cornerstone—returns, they will again be a force to reckon with in the East, potentially recreating their magical success.
