In the first quarter, Lofton scored a buzzer-beater two-pointer to open the scoring for Shanghai. Jilin’s domestic players like Zeng Fanri and Jia Hao quickly responded with fast breaks, sparking a 7-0 run to take the lead and force a Shanghai timeout. After the break, Lofton and Li Hongquan scored inside and outside, leading Shanghai to an 8-0 run to reclaim the lead. Jilin, led by Jiang Weize, regained the lead again, but Lofton's three-pointer kept Shanghai close at 15-16. With 2:29 left in the quarter, Zhang Zhenlin came off the bench to make his debut with his new team. Alongside former Liaoning teammate Fogg, they tied the score with free throws, ending the quarter tied at 20-20.

In the second quarter, Jiang Weize hit a three-pointer, followed by a three-point play from the foul line, then Moore added a three-pointer, sparking an 11-4 run to extend Jilin’s lead. Li Hongquan and Wang Zhelin combined inside and out, while Goodwin scored 5 straight points, bringing Shanghai within 34-35 and forcing a Jilin timeout. After the break, Liu Yanyu scored 5 consecutive points driving and shooting, stopping Shanghai’s momentum. The game resumed with Jilin maintaining the lead; after Jiang Weize’s three-pointer at the top of the arc, Jilin led 45-38. Goodwin and Wang Zhelin kept closing the gap, but with Wilson’s two-handed dunk, Jilin ended the half ahead 51-46.

In the third quarter, Wang Zhelin began dominating offensively, and Zhang Zhenlin completed a signature dunk, tying the game at 58-58 and forcing a Jilin timeout. After the break, Moore scored two points from free throws, then Lofton, Zhang Zhenlin, and Li Hongquan contributed points from multiple spots. Shanghai went on an 11-0 run to take a 69-60 lead. Zhao Shuizhou hit a three-pointer to stop the bleeding, and Jiang Weize also scored a three-pointer, but Shanghai still led 71-68 at the end of the third quarter.

In the fourth quarter, Li Hongquan started with a three-pointer, followed by Wang Zhelin’s dunk, as Shanghai extended their lead. Jilin gradually closed the gap through outside shooting. After another dunk by Wang Zhelin, Jilin called a timeout. Li Tianrong made a three-pointer, and Yang Tengfei and Moore scored from free throws, narrowing the score to 80-83. At a crucial moment, Zhang Zhenlin hit a three-pointer from the top of the key, and Goodwin scored on a layup, pushing Shanghai’s lead back to 6 points. With Goodwin’s three-pointer, Shanghai sealed the game. Ultimately, Shanghai defeated Jilin 95-85.
