Guangsha went on a 10-4 run to close the gap to 28-30, forcing a timeout for Liaoning. After the break, Wells took over, first completing a 2+1 layup, then hitting a three-pointer from the left corner, scoring 6 straight points to stop Guangsha’s momentum. After another timeout, Barry Brown hit a three-pointer to stop the bleeding, but Wells, Wang Lanqin, and Jiang Yuxing scored inside and out as Liaoning went on a 10-0 run to extend their lead to 15 points, prompting another timeout from Guangsha. After resuming, Hu Jinqiu scored 5 points inside and outside, Tucker made two free throws, and Liaoning led 50-39 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Wang Lanqin kept his hot shooting from outside, hitting another three-pointer followed by a layup. Led by Hu Jinqiu, Guangsha fought hard to catch up, but Liaoning maintained about a 10-point lead. With Morland’s flying dunk on a fast break, Liaoning led 60-46, forcing a timeout from Guangsha. After the break, Wells used his individual skills to score inside and hit a three-pointer, pushing Liaoning’s lead to 16 points. Guangsha relied on Tucker’s free throws to narrow the gap, but Wells was unstoppable, finishing a powerful dunk on a fast break. Liaoning ended the third quarter leading 74-55.
In the fourth quarter, Zhu Junlong finally broke his scoring drought with a three-pointer from the left corner, followed by Wang Lanqin responding with a three-pointer of his own. Both teams traded baskets back and forth. With Wells hitting his third three-pointer of the game, Liaoning led 86-69, forcing a timeout from Guangsha. When play resumed, Zhu Junlong hit another three-pointer from the left arc, but missed a shot during set offense. Liaoning took advantage of the fast break with Jiang Yuxing scoring inside and Wang Lanqin sinking a contested two-pointer against Hu Jinqiu, extending the lead to 91-72, a 19-point margin. Due to the large deficit, Guangsha substituted their starters and the game lost its suspense early. Ultimately, Liaoning won decisively 95-79 over Guangsha.
