On December 20th Beijing time, according to insider Siegel, the Golden State Warriors clearly need to adjust their roster. Sources reveal that the management has been considering multiple trade possibilities to improve the team. Kuminga’s trade restriction will lift on January 16th, making his trade highly likely; additional moves before the trade deadline would not come as a surprise.

Reporter Sidery stated that the Warriors are shopping Hield on the trade market. This season, Hield’s playing time has hit a career low, and it seems probable he will leave Golden State before the deadline. If the Warriors aim for a major trade, the combined salaries of Hield and Kuminga reach $31.7 million, making a package deal feasible.

Siegel also noted a key point: the Warriors intend to convert Pat Spencer’s contract into a standard deal soon, which means freeing up a roster spot. Upgrading Spencer from a two-way contract to a full contract might also indicate the team is negotiating trades and plans to move at least one guard before the deadline.

So far this season, Hield has played 28 games for the Warriors, averaging 7.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists, shooting 41.3% overall and 32% from three. Kuminga has appeared in 18 games, averaging 11.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists, with shooting percentages of 43.1% overall and 32% from beyond the arc. Spencer has played 19 games, averaging 7.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists, shooting 45.4% overall and 41.2% from three. The Warriors currently hold a 13-15 record, ranking ninth in the Western Conference.
