Thunder's third loss referee report: Missed foul on Dort, Huazi's crucial block and steal on SGA were all clean plays

On December 21st Beijing time, the NBA officially released the referee report for the final two minutes of yesterday's key game between the Thunder and the Timberwolves. The report indicated there was only one missed call in the last two minutes—a missed violation by Dort. Every other decision was accurate, including Edwards' two important defensive actions against Alexander.

The sole missed call happened with 53.1 seconds left in the game. At the moment Randle was shooting free throws, Thunder’s Dort had already stepped on the three-point line, which is an early violation.

In the final 39 seconds of yesterday’s game, Edwards became the Timberwolves' hero who sealed the victory with one offensive and two defensive plays. The referee report clearly stated that Edwards committed no fouls during these two critical defensive moments.

With 34 seconds remaining, Edwards blocked Alexander’s shot. The referee report noted: "Edwards extended his right hand and cleanly blocked Alexander’s attempt." This was a successful defensive play with no foul called.

At 3.4 seconds left, Edwards stole the ball from Alexander, effectively ending the game suspense. The report said: "During this steal, Edwards cleanly touched the ball and took it away from Alexander’s hands."

In the end, Edwards contributed 26 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks, while Alexander scored 35 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks in a losing effort. The Timberwolves narrowly defeated the Thunder 112-107, handing them their third loss of the season.
