Awesome! Goodbye Flagg! The real strongest rookie in the NBA is here.

Despite Flagg’s title as the "Son of America," this season’s best rookie might not be him but rather Knipehl from the Hornets.

In only 29 games, Knipehl has already made over 100 three-pointers in his career, marking the fastest in NBA history.Up to now this season, he has made a total of 104 three-pointers, shooting 3.6 per game at a high 41.4% accuracy rate.

This season, Knipehl has averaged 33.9 minutes per game, delivering 19.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.6 assists with a shooting percentage of 47.4%. The Hornets currently hold a 9-20 record, ranking 12th in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, Flagg averages 34.3 minutes, scoring 18.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game with a 47.8% shooting rate. The Mavericks stand at 11-19, placing 11th in the West.

By the way, Knipehl and Flagg both played for Duke University before joining the NBA, now representing different teams, and they might become rivals in the future.

Born on August 3, 2005, Knipehl was the 4th overall pick in the 25th draft. Standing 1.98 meters tall, he is a versatile wing player with a complete offensive skill set, confident game temperament, and a maturity level that other rookies lack. Many believe he is the top rookie this season.

Sports journalist Scotto believes,Knipehl is the new face of the Hornets, effectively replacing Threeball, who has been outshined and left behind.

During his six seasons with the Hornets, Threeball never led the team to the playoffs and this season has struggled to post impressive stats, averaging only 19.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 8.6 assists, and 1.1 steals with a poor shooting percentage of 39.6%. His current contract runs through the summer of 2029, with a total salary of about $169 million over the last four seasons.

However, it’s unlikely Threeball will leave the Hornets anytime soon, not because of strong ties but due to his fragile condition, style that harms the team, and a bad, lengthy contract that makes him essentially worthless in trade deals—no one wants him even as a giveaway.

The 24-year-old Threeball said: I thought Knipehl was here to support me.
