On January 19th, in the NBA London matchup, the Memphis Grizzlies comfortably beat the Orlando Magic 126-109, with Morant returning to contribute 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 13 assists, showcasing an excellent performance and guiding the team to win.

After the game, Morant stated, "Getting back on the court to play is a wonderful way to heal for me. I’m confident in my abilities and demonstrated that tonight. Regarding trade rumors, Morant expressed his loyalty to the Grizzlies. "Anyone who knows me understands that I am extremely loyal. The team logo tattooed on my back speaks volumes about my feelings." Morant’s tattoo on his back includes the Grizzlies’ emblem.

The last time these two teams met was in Berlin, Germany, where the Orlando Magic staged a comeback to beat the Grizzlies 118-111.
