All-Star voting results are out: Doncic leads with 3.4 million votes, while Wembanyama narrowly beats Edwards thanks to fan votes.

On January 20th Beijing time, the NBA revealed the starting lineups for the 2026 All-Star Game. The West starters are Alexander, Jokic, Doncic, Wembanyama, and Curry; the East starters are Antetokounmpo, Cunningham, Brunson, Maxey, and Jalen Brown. Following this, the NBA published the exact vote totals. Doncic received 3,402,967 votes, becoming the top vote-getter, while Wembanyama and Edwards had identical weighted scores, with Wembanyama edging out by just 4,505 fan votes to secure a starting spot.

The 2026 NBA All-Star starters were selected through a combined voting process involving fans, current NBA players, and a media panel. Fan votes accounted for 50% of the selection weight, while player and media votes each contributed 25%. After all votes were tallied, players were ranked within their respective Eastern and Western conferences according to each voting group's results. A player’s final score was calculated by averaging their weighted rankings from fan, player, and media votes.

The weighting for player scores is 50% fan votes, 25% player votes, and 25% media votes, calculated specifically as: (Fan ranking × 2 + Player ranking + Media ranking) ÷ 4.

The top five scorers from each conference are chosen as All-Star starters. In the event of a tie within the same conference, fan vote totals serve as the tiebreaker. San Antonio Spurs’ Wembanyama secured his Western starting spot over Timberwolves’ Edwards based on this rule. The detailed vote counts and weighted rankings are as follows—
