Curry has confirmed he will definitely participate in next year's Three-Point Contest! Aiming for his third personal title: planning to bring Lillard and Klay along

On February 16th Beijing time, during a pre-game interview before the NBA All-Star Game, Curry declared with certainty that he will participate in next year’s Three-Point Contest. He also said, “Me, Lillard, and I’ll try to bring Klay along!”

In this year’s All-Star Three-Point Contest, Trail Blazers star Lillard emerged victorious, securing his third Three-Point Contest title. Lillard, Bird, and Hodges are the only three players in NBA history to have won the contest three times. Lillard has also expressed his expectation to compete again in future Three-Point Contests.

For Curry, throughout his career, he has participated in the All-Star Three-Point Contest seven times, making him one of the players with the most appearances in the event's history. He has demonstrated elite shooting consistency and clutch performance, winning the championship twice. His specific records are as follows:

2010: First appearance, eliminated in the first round

2013: Second appearance, knocked out in the first round

2014: Third appearance, again stopped in the first round

2015: Fourth appearance, won his first title with an outstanding performance, claiming his career’s first Three-Point Contest championship

2016: Fifth appearance, finished as runner-up, losing to teammate Klay Thompson in the final

2019: Sixth appearance, competed alongside his brother Seth Curry but did not reach the final

2021: Seventh appearance, won his second title by narrowly defeating Mike Conley 28-27 in the final, completing a thrilling comeback. Notably, he scored 31 points in the first round, setting a new single-round scoring record in the Three-Point Contest and becoming the first player in history to surpass 30 points in one round.

Curry’s commitment to compete again next year certainly stirs excitement. He also emphasized bringing Klay along, knowing fans want to see the Splash Brothers battle once more on the Three-Point Contest stage.
