Ningbo team official announcement:They have formally signed Darius Beasley, who will undergo a trial evaluation period.

Ningbo, as the CBA dark horse this season, currently stands ninth in the league with a 12-11 record, and has a shot at the playoffs, making further recruitment necessary.

Back to Beasley, last season he played for Guangdong, appearing in 33 games, averaging 25.5 minutes per game, contributing 12.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1.8 blocks with solid shooting percentages of 47.7%, 34.7%, and 65.3%. His impressive athleticism left a strong impression, but he did not receive a contract extension due to underwhelming performance.

Last summer, Beasley represented the Lakers in the Summer League, playing seven games with averages of 20.8 minutes, 11.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 2.1 blocks, shooting 58.5%, 33.3%, and 63.3%. Unfortunately, an injury prevented him from potentially landing an NBA contract to return.

This guy was born on June 12, 2000. He is a forward standing 2.03 meters tall with a 2.13-meter wingspan. Selected 23rd overall in the 2019 first round, he has spent five NBA seasons with the Thunder, Suns, 76ers, and Jazz.

In the regular season, he played 237 games, starting 118, averaging 23.7 minutes, 8.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists, with shooting splits of 41.4%, 30.9%, and 67.7%. In the playoffs, he appeared in seven games, averaging 18 minutes, 6.6 points, and 6.7 rebounds, shooting 41.9%, 50%, and 90%.

Notably, recently Thunder star Jae Wei mentioned former teammate Beasley on a podcast, praising his outstanding performance in a 5-on-5 team training game, which made him feel his own position on the team was threatened. Jae Wei, the 12th pick in the 2022 first round, briefly played alongside Beasley during the 2022-23 season as a rookie.
