Blazers update on Sharpe's calf injury! Re-evaluation in 4-6 weeks; US media predicts season-ending recovery

On February 25th Beijing time, the Blazers officially updated their injury report, stating that guard Shaedon Sharpe is still undergoing treatment for a left calf strain. Follow-up imaging revealed a stress reaction in his left fibula. Sharpe will be re-evaluated in approximately 4–6 weeks to ensure the injury has healed fully before gradually returning to full basketball training and competition.

Sharpe has not played since February 7th, initially diagnosed with a left calf strain. The fibula injury was discovered during subsequent imaging examinations.According to US media, based on the recovery timeline, Sharpe is expected to miss the remainder of the season.

This 2022 lottery pick has appeared in 48 games this season (starting 42), averaging 30 minutes per game and posting career highs of 21.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.4 steals, making him the team's second-leading scorer.

Sharpe recently signed a four-year, $90 million contract extension last October, which will take effect starting next season.

The Blazers currently hold a 29-30 record, ranking 9th in the Western Conference. Sharpe's absence is a significant blow to the team. However, the bottom five teams in the West are at least six wins behind, so the Blazers are unlikely to fall out of the play-in tournament spots.
