On February 26th Beijing time, the NBA released the referee report covering the last two minutes of the Lakers vs. Magic game. The report revealed three missed calls in that period, two of which went against the Magic, but they still narrowly defeated the Lakers 110-109. The specific missed calls are as follows—

The first missed call occurred with 1 minute and 7 seconds remaining. Doncic completed a gather step with his left foot down, then took more than two additional steps, constituting a traveling violation. The referees did not whistle, resulting in a missed traveling call that benefited the Lakers and disadvantaged the Magic.

The second missed call happened with 45.3 seconds left. Magic’s Carter stayed in the paint for over three seconds without actively guarding his opponent, which is a defensive three-second violation. This defensive three-second foul was missed by the referees, costing the Lakers and benefiting the Magic.

The third missed call took place with 7.6 seconds remaining. When defending Carter’s shot, Doncic initiated contact with Carter’s arm. This defensive foul was not called. Carter made the basket and should have been awarded a free throw, but the whistle never came. This missed call favored the Lakers and harmed the Magic.

In the final moments, the Lakers had a chance to win. Doncic, open for a three-pointer, hesitated and instead passed to LeBron James nearby. James faced tight defense and missed a difficult spinning three-point shot, leading to the Lakers losing by one point.
After the game, Reddick said the play was designed for Doncic to shoot, but unfortunately, the plan was not executed. LeBron expressed a similar view, suggesting that Doncic might have lost his balance or couldn’t find his rhythm with the ball. Doncic himself said, "I was open, but I felt a bit far from the basket and wanted to dribble closer. Maybe I should have just caught and shot directly. I wanted to keep attacking, but the situation got crowded."
