MVP odds rankings have dramatically shifted! Cunningham surpasses Jokic to claim second place, while Alexander's award eligibility is in doubt.

As of February 26th Beijing time, the regular season MVP odds have seen a major update, with Pistons' Cunningham now at +300, surpassing Jokic's +325 and rising to second place. Thunder's Alexander still leads but faces potential disqualification because of the NBA's 65-game participation requirement.

According to the latest odds rankings, eight players remain listed, ranked as follows: Alexander (-140), Cunningham (+300), Jokic (+325), Wembanyama (+1600), Jaylen Brown (+2800), Doncic (+3300), Mitchell (+8000), Edwards (+20000).

For most of this season, the MVP race has seemed like a duel between two players. Both Alexander and Jokic have held the top spot at times, but injuries have sidelined them for many games, putting their award eligibility at risk. As the saying goes, "when two fight, a third benefits," Cunningham may play the role of the beneficiary. Recently, Cunningham confidently claimed that he considers himself the MVP.

Alexander has been out since February 4th due to an abdominal strain and will miss today's game against the Pistons, marking his 11th missed game this season. To retain his MVP title, he must play in at least 16 of the remaining 22 regular season games.

Jokic has already missed 16 games this season and will lose award eligibility if he misses two more.

The uncertain situations of Alexander and Jokic have significantly boosted Pistons guard Cunningham's chances of winning MVP.

According to US media reports, over the past week, MVP bets placed on Cunningham have exceeded the combined total for all other players on the platform. His odds ranking has now surged to third place.

An ESPN poll last week of 100 media members showed that as long as Alexander meets the game participation requirement, he remains the clear favorite for MVP.
