On March 1st, Beijing time, the Lakers defeated the Warriors 129-101 on the road. James played 28 minutes and 20 seconds, shooting 7 out of 13 from the field and 4 out of 6 from three-point range, contributing 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists. After the game, he spoke with reporters in the locker room —

Reporter: We just asked Lavaria, and he said the team's mindset was that they had to win this game. What do you think the team accomplished as a whole today?
James: As you just said, we needed a win to get the team back on track, and tonight we did that.
Reporter: You started the game strong. How did you maintain that level of play all night?
James: It's been a while since we played a full 48 minutes of good basketball. We maintained our intensity the entire game and had the right mindset from the start. After losing the last two home games and having a tough game against the Suns, we came in with the correct mentality, understood the task at hand, and got the job done.
Reporter: How much of that mindset tonight was about selflessness?
James: Absolutely. That should be our mindset every night. We need to get everyone involved and keep the ball moving. I also think our defensive unity helped drive our offense and made a big difference.
Reporter: Everyone is praising Kennard; this was his highest-scoring game since joining the team. What has he brought to the team these past few weeks?
James: He gives us another offensive threat. He's such a great shooter that defenders have to close out on him, and he can also drive to the basket and create opportunities for his teammates. He's especially good at making that extra pass and finding the corner; he's really skilled at that.

Reporter: Over the last 10 games, your three-point shooting was only 19.5%, but you shot well tonight. What do you think was the reason? How are you feeling about your three-point shot now?
James: I'm confident with every shot I take. Even if my three-point percentage was 0%, I'd believe the next one is going in. I've played this game my whole life and, honestly, I don't really focus on the stats.
Reporter: Your team made 19 three-pointers today. What did you like most about the team? Was it the ball movement?
James: It sounds simple — when the ball moves, it finds its way in. Forget the assist numbers; I think the key was having the right mindset, and the stats will speak for themselves. We were very aware of how we lost the last three games, and we weren't happy about it, so we executed well tonight.
Reporter: Before the game, the video of your daughter imitating your dribbling was heartwarming. What was it like having her with you and also getting the win?
James: Because of my career, I've missed a lot of moments with my kids. Any time I get to spend with them is incredibly precious to me. She came on this road trip with me; yesterday we visited Alcatraz, saw the Golden Gate Bridge, and had dinner together. It was amazing.

Reporter: She usually plays volleyball, but her dribbling is pretty good too.
James: She's a volleyball player, but don't get my wife upset. My wife has had enough of basketball; she says, "That's enough, we don't need another basketball player." But she grew up around the court, and her dribbling and form are actually really good.
Reporter: You walked off the court holding your daughter's hand. As a devoted girl dad, how would you describe that feeling?
James: It's so special. These last 11 years have really softened me up. I started with two sons, but when this little girl came along 11 years ago, it mellowed me out completely. It's a different kind of love. With sons, it's tough love; with a daughter, it's gentle. It's beautiful.
Reporter: Was this her first road trip with you?
James: It was her first official road trip. She's my good luck charm. She's already asking when the next road trip is, haha.
