In his latest interview, Doncic said that one-on-one matches with Irving are the most enjoyable, and he supports Brazil and Spain in the World Cup.

On June 21, Beijing time, Doncic took part in a brand event in his native Slovenia and was interviewed by the media. He noted that he had played golf with James once or twice, and that his most exciting one-on-one training duel was with Irving. Regarding the current World Cup, he expressed support for Brazil and Spain. Here is the full interview—

Reporter: What draws you to golf? You often post about it, and LeBron also plays. Have you two ever played a round together?

Doncic: We've played once or twice. It's hard to schedule now since we don't live close. But golf lets you be in nature for four hours, sometimes even eight. I often play 36 holes; people say it's not wise, but I still enjoy it... Being outdoors, putting down your phone, staying quiet—it's truly wonderful.

Reporter: Jaxson Hayes has obtained Slovenian citizenship. What are your thoughts on that? This kind of thing should concern you.

Doncic: Well... it actually has nothing to do with me—I only focus on playing for the national basketball team. But that guy is a nice person and a good player. It's great to have him naturalized.

Reporter: What are your offseason preparation plans?

Doncic: I won't be playing for the national team this year, so it's mainly personal training, strength conditioning, and some other sports. I'll also play more golf this year. My preparation approach is different from previous years.

Reporter: One-on-one matchups... Who is your favorite teammate to play one-on-one against?

Doncic: We often go head-to-head in practice. I've played one-on-one with Irving—it's an unbelievable experience. He is simply the best one-on-one player in the world, and facing him is the most enjoyable.

Reporter: Let's talk about football and the World Cup. Do you make time to watch?

Doncic: Of course I do. Unfortunately, even though I'm a World Cup ambassador, I can't attend in person, but I watch every match on TV.

Reporter: Do you have a favorite team?

Doncic: Not really a fixed favorite. I tend to support Brazil and Spain, but I don't have a specific team. I just hope every game is exciting and enjoyable to watch.
