Brown changes his stance! He is not opposed to playing for the Bucks and hopes the trade can be finalized within 48 hours.

On June 23 Beijing time, multiple NBA reporters reported that the Celtics are aggressively pursuing Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, with former Finals MVP Jaylen Brown as the proposed centerpiece trade asset.

Last week, there were rumors that Jaylen Brown was unwilling to go to Milwaukee, but insider Kelly Iko has information to the contrary. According to his sources, there are growing signs that the 29-year-old star is not only open to being traded to the Bucks but even wants the deal to be completed within 48 hours. Insider Windhorst also said Brown wants to go to a team where he can be the focal point.

Earlier reports mentioned that teams such as the Trail Blazers, Hawks, and Rockets were interested in acquiring Brown via a multi-team trade. However, Shams updated that the trade is now likely a direct two-team deal, with the Heat being the other final candidate for Giannis; but Shams also said the deal could still expand into a larger multi-team trade.

Brown just completed the best regular season of his career, playing 71 games and averaging 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1 steal in 34.4 minutes per game. He led the Celtics to a 56-26 record, securing the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. Unfortunately, in the first round of the playoffs, the Celtics held a 3-1 series lead but suffered a heartbreaking comeback loss to the 76ers.

Brown's total salary over the next three seasons is approximately $183 million, and this summer he is eligible to sign a two-year maximum extension worth up to $142 million. Additionally, reports say the Bucks also have interest in Spanish wing Hugo González, a rookie selected by the Celtics with the 28th pick in last year's draft.
