On June 26, Beijing time, the Toronto Tempo defeated the Los Angeles Sparks 125-97. Tempo star Mabrey had an outstanding game, shooting 17-of-28, 9-of-18 from three, and 10-of-12 from the line, recording 53 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists, with a plus-minus of +36.

Her 53-point performance tied the WNBA single-game scoring record previously set by Liz Cambage in 2018. A'ja Wilson also matched that record in 2023 while playing for the Las Vegas Aces. Now Mabrey has tied it again. Additionally, she hit nine three-pointers in a single game twice, setting a new WNBA record; the previous nine-triple game was just six days ago.

Furthermore, Mabrey is the only player this season to score 18 or more points in a single quarter, and she has accomplished this feat three times:
On June 20 against the Connecticut Sun, she erupted for 21 points in the fourth quarter;
On June 13 versus the Washington Mystics, she poured in 18 points in the fourth quarter;
Today against the Los Angeles Sparks, she scored 19 points in the first quarter.
In WNBA history, no player had ever recorded three quarters with 18+ points in a single season.
Mabrey was born on September 14, 1996. Standing at 185 cm, she plays shooting guard. She was selected 19th overall in the second round of the 2019 WNBA draft by the Los Angeles Sparks. In college, she played for the University of Notre Dame, winning the NCAA women's basketball championship and developing a reliable outside shot and ball-handling ability.
Throughout her career, she has moved among several teams, establishing herself as a quality perimeter scoring threat and secondary ball handler in the league.
