On June 27, Beijing time, per Blazers reporter Highkin, Yang Hansen is expected to join the Summer League. He will complete the remaining World Cup qualifiers with China's national team before traveling to Las Vegas to meet up with the squad. I believe he will only suit up for the first one or two Summer League contests.

The Chinese men's basketball team will take on Japan on July 3 and Chinese Taipei on July 6. According to the recently released Las Vegas Summer League schedule, the Trail Blazers begin their campaign on July 11 against the Suns. They then face the Magic on July 13, the Timberwolves on July 14, and the Nuggets on July 17. If Highkin's report holds true, Yang Hansen could see action against both the Suns and the Magic.

Last summer, Yang Hansen played four Summer League games, averaging 10.8 points, 5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.3 blocks per game, shooting 45.7% from the field, 33.3% from three-point range, and 87.5% from the free-throw line.
Yesterday, the Trail Blazers' official social media account posted a photo of Yang Hansen with the caption: "Happy birthday, Hansen!" Yang Hansen celebrated his 21st birthday.

Previously, the Blazers media outlet Blazer's Edge summarized Hansen's rookie season as far from ideal, but given the high expectations the team originally had for him, the Trail Blazers are not inclined to trade him for now. Of course, almost no team is willing to offer a reasonable trade package for him. His only trade value lies in his $4.6 million contract, which can be used to balance larger deals.
Blazer's Edge noted that Yang Hansen's sole remaining advantage is his youth: at just 21, he still has time to develop. He needs to increase his training volume during the offseason, fully grasp the team's system, and develop a reliable shooting arsenal. Perhaps he can regain the trust of the outside world with his performance on the Summer League court.
