On March 4, Beijing time, the NBA officially announced the best coach of February: Thunder coach Dagneault and Pistons coach Bickerstaff were elected respectively. Lakers coach Redick, Warriors coach Kerr and others were nominated.

Western Conference Coach of the Month: Dagneault (Thunder)

Dagneault led the Thunder to an 11-2 record in February, ranking first in the West and second in the league (behind the Cavaliers' 90.9%) in a winning percentage (84.6 percent) during that same period. This is the second time in his career that Dagneault has been named Coach of the Month, which he also won in December.

Dagneault was voted the league's Coach of the Year and the Referees Association's Coach of the Year last season. At just 40 years old, Dagneault has coached 378 regular-season games with the Thunder, with a 192-186 record, a 50.8 percent winning rate, and 10 playoff games, with a 6-4 winning rate, a 60 percent winning rate. The Thunder have now improved their win percentage for three consecutive years, from 29.3% in 2021-22 to 48.8% in 2022-23, 69.5% in 2023-24, and 81.7% so far this season.

So far this season, the Thunder are 49-11 and ranked first in the West.

Eastern Conference Coach of the Month: Bickerstaff (Pistons)

Bickerstaff led the Pistons to a 9-3 record in February, ranking second in the East and fifth in the league in terms of winning percentage (75.0 percent) over the same period. This is also the second time in his career that Bickerstaff has been named Coach of the Month, having also won the award in January of the 2021-22 season.

Bickerstaff has coached the Rockets, Grizzlies, Cavaliers and Pistons so far in his career. This was his first season at the helm of the Pistons, and he helped the Pistons make huge progress. The Pistons are 34-27 so far this season, a 55.7 percent winning rate, while the Pistons had a 14-68 record last season and a 17.1 percent winning percentage.

Bickerstaff has coached 606 regular season games in the NBA with a 289-317 winning rate, a 47.7 percent winning rate, and 22 playoff games, with a 7-15 winning percentage, a 31.8 percent winning rate. The Pistons currently sit in sixth place in the East and are on track to qualify for a playoff spot this season.

The coaches nominated for the Coach of the Month are as follows –

West: Billups (Trail Blazers), Kerr (Warriors), Malone (Nuggets), Redick (Lakers)

East: Atkinson (Cavaliers), Mazzulla (Celtics)

The Lakers went 10-2 in February and the Warriors went 8-3 in February.
