The Lakers plan to cut Reddish Lane! Goodwin turns positive countdown to another spot or to Jamieson

On March 23, Beijing time, according to team reporter Buha, the Lakers are expected to cut Reddish and Ryan in order to convert Goodwin and Jamieson from two-way contracts to standard NBA contracts, while Koloko may continue to hold two-way contracts.

Currently, the Los Angeles Lakers have three players on two-way contracts, namely Goodwin, Jamieson and Koloko. Buha reports that only two of them are expected to switch to standard NBA contracts. Reddish and Ryan are likely to be cut to free up spots, with no other regulars going to be cut.

In his latest podcast, Buha noted: "There is a possibility [of all three players on two-way contracts going to regular contracts], but in reality, it may not be likely to happen because I think the only obvious ones in the squad that could be cut are Reddish and Ryan. ”

Buha went on to say: "Milton still have two years left on his non-guaranteed contract, which could be a valuable bargaining chip. Markieff Morris is loved in the locker room, he's a leader within the team, Doncic likes him, and James likes him. ”

"They're not going to cut Markieff Morris, they're not going to cut Bronny, they're not going to cut Kleber because Kleber has one year and $11 million left on his contract. I think the lineup will remain the same, aside from the possible cutting of Ryan and Reddish. Again, for Goodwin's sake, they had to lay off one of them. I think they should have laid off one more person to get Jamieson or Koloko to be regular, so it's probably two, not three. ”

The Lakers are expected to complete their first contract conversion soon, as Goodwin's two-way contract only has three games left to qualify. The 26-year-old guard has played an important role for the Lakers, averaging 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals in 22.1 minutes per game in 16 appearances, including five starts.

Jamieson, a 25-year-old center, has also made an impact, with the Lakers having a 13-3 record this season when he's on the team's roster. He averaged 3.1 points and 3.0 rebounds per game in 16 games. He signed a two-way contract with the Pelicans earlier this season, and now he has only six games left on his two-way contract.

The 24-year-old Colloko played in 34 games, averaging 2.5 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. Unlike the other two, he has 16 games left to play before reaching the playing limit on his two-way contract.

Currently, the Lakers have a 43-26 record and are fourth in the Western Conference with 13 games remaining in the regular season. As a reminder, players on two-way contracts cannot play in the NBA playoffs unless their contract is converted to a standard contract before the playoffs begin.
