The first season was a huge success! James reboots podcast: Nash replaces Redick as a new partner

On March 27, Beijing time, Lakers star James restarted the "Mind the Game" podcast, and this time he has a new basketball brain to discuss. Two-time MVP Nash will serve as James' co-host for the second season of the podcast.

James' co-host on last season's "Follow the Game" was Redick, who is now the head coach of the Lakers. James and Redick jointly selected Nash as Redick's successor.

The first season of "Follow the Race" was an instant success, averaging 1.5 million views per episode and quickly amassing more than 500,000 subscribers on the video platform.

The 51-year-old Nash ended his basketball career in 2014 and has since served as general manager of the Canadian men's national basketball team, as a coaching advisor to the Warriors, and as head coach of the Nets for two and a half seasons, with a 94-67 winning percentage (58.4%). Of his 18 years as a player, 11 years coincided with James' career in the NBA.

James recently posted a series of tweets on social media expressing his thoughts on the shift in the way basketball games are reported. ESPN sources have revealed that the director of the new season of "Follow the Game" will still be Jason Gallagher. Prior to Redick's career in coaching, Gallagher was a long-time director of Redick's various podcast projects.

James was interviewed for about an hour on the podcast "The Pat McAfee Show" today, and talked about a lot of hot topics. For example, he thinks that Jordan will not chat with him before retiring, and he and Kobe Bryant only became familiar with the Olympics. He also talked about how people always say he faked a fall, but he didn't make any free throws and didn't get a superstar whistle. James participated in this interview when the podcast restarted, and it may have been a warm-up for his own show.

Prior to today's game against the Pacers, James had played in 60 games this season, averaging 24.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game. The Lakers are in 5th place in the West after suffering a three-game losing streak.
