The Bucks are hit with a double whammy! Alphabet's left foot sprain will also miss the Nuggets, and the fifth place in the East can't be saved?

On March 27, Beijing time, the Bucks officially announced that the team's star Brother Alphabet will miss today's game against the Nuggets due to a sprained left foot. The Bucks have been hit by injuries again, after their other star, Lillard, was sidelined indefinitely with a deep vein thrombosis in his right calf and will not play for the Nuggets.

Prior to this absence, he played in all 18 games after the All-Star Weekend, but before the All-Star break, he missed 12 games with right knee and left calf injuries.

The 30-year-old star played 37 minutes in the Bucks' 106-108 loss to the Suns, scoring 31 points on 12-of-19 shooting and grabbing 10 rebounds. So far this season, he is averaging 30.2 points (second in the league) and 12.0 rebounds (sixth in the league) per game.

The two Bucks stars are both sidelined, and they have suffered a double whammy. Lillard played in 58 games this season before taking an indefinite break, averaging 24.9 points, 7.1 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.

It was previously reported that Lillard was diagnosed after consulting with five of the top hematologists in the United States. He has been on blood-thinning medication since Saturday and sources have revealed that there are high hopes that he will be able to return this season.

Today's game is crucial for both the Bucks and the Nuggets, with both teams battling it out for a playoff spot as the regular season draws to a close. The Bucks are playing catch-up with the Pistons in hopes of retaining their No. 5 seed spot in the Eastern Conference, and the difference in win percentages between the two teams is currently slim. If the Bucks lose to the Nuggets, the Pistons will be the new No. 5 in the East. On the other hand, the Nuggets, who are third in the West, are only 0.5 wins ahead of the Grizzlies, and if the Nuggets lose to the Bucks, they will fall to fourth in the West.
