Taking a tough stance on Kuminga? The Warriors plan to terminate sign-and-trade negotiations: Suns and Kings offers revealed

On July 31, Beijing time, according to ESPN reporters Shams and Slater, in recent days, the Warriors have started to hint at their intention to completely terminate the sign-and-trade negotiations . The Warriors are capable of taking a strong stance on Kuminga, as they believe he must either accept their contract offer or sign the $7.9 million qualifying offer and become a full free agent next summer.

The Warriors are intensifying efforts to resolve the stalemate with Kuminga, but he continues to reject their two-year, $45 million contract offer. Kuminga's decision is largely due to the Warriors' insistence on having a team option in the second year and their unwillingness to grant him a built-in trade veto.

His agent, Aaron Turner, proposed several offers to the Warriors this month, including a three-year, $82 million contract, which would allow them to remain below the second luxury tax line.

Kuminga updated his IG social media, stating that he will always bet on himself. Noted reporter Shams reported that Kuminga feels the Warriors are hindering his development.

In recent weeks, the Kings and Suns have been linked with Kuminga, but their sign-and-trade negotiations with the Warriors have not made any progress.

Kings reporter Anderson stated that the Kings have not given up on their efforts to acquire Kuminga through sign-and-trade,and they proposed a package to the Warriors that included Carter, Dario Saric, and draft compensation, which could involve a protected first-round pick or multiple second-round picks.Reporter Amick indicated that the Warriors are not interested in DeRozan or Carter as part of a trade package.

Anderson speculated that if the Kings were willing to include Keegan Murray or Keon Ellis in the trade package, the Warriors might reach an agreement with the Kings. However, Anderson learned that Murray and Ellis were not discussed in these negotiations and are viewed as untouchables by the Kings.

The Suns are the most aggressive team pursuing Kuminga, including a four-year contract proposal worth about $90 million, with the final season being a player option.According to Spears, the Suns proposed to trade Jonathan Kuminga via sign-and-trade using Royce O'Neale, Nick Richards, and four second-round picks . So far, the Warriors have shown little interest in the Suns' offer.

Slater previously reported that the Warriors hope to receive a talented young player and a first-round pick in exchange for Kuminga.

Previously, Kuminga met with representatives of the Kings, including general manager Scott Perry, assistant GM B.J. Armstrong, and head coach Doug Christie, leaving a very good impression. "He is open to the option of Sacramento... I think part of the reason—I know part of the appeal is—that there is a starting role here, with greater opportunities than what the Warriors can currently offer. And I think that shouldn't be overlooked in this situation," Slater said. "Kuminga is not just looking for the exact contract he wants in the free agent market; he is also seeking opportunities on the court."

However, it now seems that Kuminga is most likely to remain with the Warriors, whether through re-signing or signing the qualifying offer, with the possibility of a trade becoming increasingly slim.
